Our practice supports a non-diet, Health at Every Size® approach to your nutrition goals. We know that restrictive meal plans and crash diets are frustrating, hard to stay on long-term, and even potentially harmful and dangerous to your physical and mental health. Plus, studies show that weight loss is a poor motivator for permanent change.
So what works?
Instead of focusing on cutting calories and losing weight, you're much better off learning how to take care of your body. By nourishing it with gentle nutrition, honoring it with joyful movement, and managing your emotions without using food, you actually create healthy habits that feel amazing - which make you want to do it long-term!

How We Help:
Our team of professionally-trained and experienced dietitians teaches you how to honor your body with nutrition strategies that taste good, feel good, and promote true health. We focus on choices and habits that may be at the root of what you weigh, such as your meal choices, eating structure, exercise, stress levels, metabolism, emotional eating, and hormones. When you look at weight as a symptom or side effect of your choices, you become empowered to take action on the things you can change—and to release the things you can't (i.e. genetics).
Our counseling style allows us to work with you to create a personalized plan that fits your lifestyle, budget, goals, and food preferences. While we assess your habits and lifestyle choices to help you make energizing choices, we also screen for disordered eating, unrealistic (and unhealthy) weight goals, body dysmorphia, etc. You deserve help that ethically aligns with your body instead of causing more harm. If any of these factors appear during our time together, we're able to assist in their treatment and tailoring of your goals to fit the needs of your body.
How We're Different:
We're not going to ask you to weigh! Seriously! You can throw out the scale if you know it doesn't bring you joy or help you form positive thoughts about yourself. Instead, we're going to talk about how you feel and how your life is changing as a result of your choices. You can tell us your weight, but we're more concerned with you living a higher quality of life!
