Our practice does not file insurance claims; however, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company.

Insurance Notes & Policies
Coast Nutrition Co. is out-of-network for all insurance providers. We require payments to be completed before services are rendered. Upon request, we can provide a Superbill, which is a receipt for your payment with necessary coding and documentation that you can use to file with your insurance company to attempt reimbursement. We have had some clients successfully get reimbursed for all or partial of our services. Superbills can be provided once all sessions in your package have been completed. Please note that Coast Nutrition Co. cannot guarantee any payments made by your insurance provider nor do we provide refunds for our services. If you'd like to find out if your insurance company has a nutrition benefit, follow the steps listed below:
Talk with your insurance provider
Talk with your insurance provider about your specific policy for nutrition services. Ask what the benefits are for medical nutrition therapy, nutrition counseling, nutrition education, and preventative services. You may also ask about the specific diagnosis you know you have. One code that will be used is Z71.3.
Optional: Get a referral
Get a referral from your doctor or mental health provider if you can. This may help with your reimbursement and it will provide helpful codes for us to use on your Superbill.
Have a health savings account?
Find out about your Health Savings Account benefit. If you have money in a Health Savings Account and a payment card, you may be able to use this for your payment to us. Some policies allow payments for preventative services and/or nutrition programs.
